You might have built them out of Lincoln Logs as a kid, or maybe you saw them on TV when watching old movies or frontier shows, but there are countless log cabins available for rental right now. Getting to be inside of one is a unique experience, and it’s really fun to see how they work.
Most log cabins that are available for rental have all the amenities that a cabin would want such as beds, heating, running water, and electricity. But they are also often in the middle of nowhere, with several acres of forest in between cabins. If you ever need a space to get away from it all, then perhaps renting a cabin is the way to go.
They are made of giant logs, all held together by interlocking patterns like a giant jigsaw puzzle. It’s really cool to go into a log cabin and just see all the logs resting above you. If you’ve ever played with Lincoln Logs, then you know how interesting interlocking mechanisms can be. Most cabins also have their stairs made out of wood, as well as several other parts of the building.
It can be really cool to run your hands over a wooden counter or step on a wooden floorboard and know that that was once a tree from the very forest you just got done exploring. Sleeping in a log cabin brings out the adventurer in us, because who doesn’t want to embrace the spirit of the pioneers and spend some time in beavers bend cabin rentals? All while surrounded by a vast forest?
So if you ever need some time away from the world, then maybe finding a log cabin in the woods could be a great idea. Especially if you want to spend some time reconnecting with your wild side.
